The Mississippi Valley Chapter of  the Society of Urologic Nurses and Associates (SUNA) is a nonprofit professional organization committed to excellence in urologic clinical practice and research through education of it’s members, patients and the community.  The Purposes of the Association include:
  • To unite urologic nurses and allied health professionals for the purpose of maintaining a Chapter dedicated to the promotion of the highest professional standards for the better and safer care of the urological patient. 
  • To study, discuss, and exchange information, experiences, and ideas in the field of urology, and to engender a high quality of urologic education for urologic nurses and allied health professionals.
  • To hold meetings at intervals for the advancement of the purposes of this chapter.
  • To cooperate lawfully with other professional associations, hospitals, universities, industries, technical societies, research organizations and government agencies in matters affecting the foregoing purposes of this Chapter.  

Meetings are usually held the third Wednesday of the month from August through May with no meetings in the Summer.  Meetings usually start at 6:00 pm and are held at local restaurants, hospital meeting rooms or urologic offices.     The Mississippi Valley Chapter of SUNA is headquartered in St. Louis and encompasses a large area from as far north in Iowa as Sioux City and Dubuque, as far south as southern Missouri, as far east as Lafayette, Illinois and as far west as St. Joseph. 

We do not include the Chicago or Kansas City areas. We invite you to visit us at one of our educational opportunities and to become a Mississippi Valley Chapter Member.
